Eager to do their bit to help protect our planet, Cognita students joined forces on World Environment Day, Wednesday 5th June 2019.
In a global initiative led by Nina Hamilton of Hydesville Tower School, UK, some 40 Cognita schools across 7 countries took part in activities to reduce their environmental impact.
Students joined in a Global Beach Clean, held meat-free days and connected via ‘Cognita Calling’ Skype events to discuss environmental issues affecting us all. They additionally sought to raise awareness of the consequences of climate change by designing posters and presenting on this topic to audiences made up of their parents and peers.
We’re proud of our students’ collective commitment to reducing climate change, not just on World Environment Day but all year through.
You can find photographs of the day’s activities across social media by searching the hashtags #CognitaCalling and #CognitaGlobalBeachClean.
