Find out more about our bespoke learning opportunities below.

Personal development

Let’s Talk is the cornerstone of our people-focussed initiatives.

It’s our annual check-in with teachers and it’s a structured, two-way conversation.

We use it to see how things are going, where we can offer support and new opportunities. And to set measurable objectives for the year ahead that are challenging, but realistic. So that our teachers are never overwhelmed, but always developing and growing.

Because great teachers are the key to a great education.

UCL Programmes

Cognita works in partnership with the UCL Centre for Educational Leadership, part of the IOE - Faculty of Education and Society at University College London. The IOE at UCL has been ranked #1 in the world since 2014 for Education as a subject (QS world rankings).

We work with UCL to deliver two bespoke leadership programmes in both English and Spanish.

The Cognita Team Fellowship is a bespoke professional learning programme, which is designed to support school teams to enquire into a specific area of practice linked to student learning.

The Senior Leader Enquiry Programme aims to develop colleagues as evidence-informed leaders. The programme supports our leaders to focus on their leadership of self and others, leadership of professional learning and pedagogy and leadership of sustained improvement.

CogX

CogX is our online learning exchange platform, specifically designed to enable the sharing of best practice between our schools around the world.

Using a mixture of internal and external resources, the platform is exclusively for Cognita staff and includes frameworks, toolkits, references and guides.

Schools are invited to share their best practice through video or written case studies.

The Feedback Project

Improving the quality and effectiveness of feedback has one of the most powerful impacts on student learning. That is why we have partnered with Evidence Based Education to deliver a bespoke programme for Cognita teachers with a focus on feedback to students.

The Feedback Project is a series of online lessons and in-school workshops that can take place over 10-14 weeks within a school. It is part of an ongoing commitment to continually reflect on and improve the quality of feedback for our students.

Colleagues work collaboratively, not only to support each other in understanding the material, but also in implementing changes that are suited for their unique context.
