Many congratulations to Valeria Capetillo (Digital Learning Adviser, Cognita LatAm), Miguel Torres (Head of ICT, Duncombe School) and our students from Colegio Pumahue Puerto Montt and Temuco in Chile who collaborated with students from Duncombe School in the UK on their ‘Tech for Good’ project working to reduce inequality around the world. The project, which took five months to create, sought to increase digital literacy for older people, by creating an app to test password strength and offer short videos which provide tips to avoid reading and sharing misinformation.

The “Tech for Good” challenge is part of the Microsoft Education Exchange, an annual event celebrating teaching practices that seeks to generate solutions to problems related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, using technology, and developing 21st-century skills.

This regional collaboration between Chile and the UK embodies our Cognita education. We love to see our students working together despite the physical distances, encouraging them to widen their perspectives and develop important skills for life. We are very proud of this achievement, congratulations to all involved.
