We are proud to announce that The English Montessori School (TEMS) – one of our outstanding schools in Madrid, – has acquired Montessori School La Florida, marking a significant step forward in delivering exceptional, holistic education in Spain.

A Transformative Educational Journey

This milestone acquisition will allow TEMS to launch two new learning environments in September 2025:

• Voyager House: A nurturing space for Pre-Nursery to Year 2 students (ages 1–6)
• Nexus Navigator Campus: A forward-thinking hub for Year 12 & 13 students (ages 16–18)

This strategic merger enhances TEMS’ academic offering by incorporating the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) into its already rich curriculum. As a result, TEMS becomes one of the few schools in Spain to offer a unique educational journey that spans:

• Montessori Early Years, nurturing independence from the start
• The British Curriculum (GCSEs/A-Levels) taught by native English-speaking teachers
• The Spanish Bachillerato, facilitating local university access
• The globally respected IB Diploma Programme, developing critical thinkers and global citizens

A New Era Begins: Explorer Campus Launching in 2025

In parallel with the acquisition, TEMS is set to open its brand-new Explorer Campus in Moncloa-Aravaca in September 2025. Purpose-built for students from Year 3 to Year 11, the campus will feature a sustainable design with 114 solar panels and a CO₂-absorbing plant façade, cutting-edge facilities including science labs, creative arts spaces, and a 334 m² multipurpose hall, as well as expansive outdoor areas with sports facilities and a 500m green path.

This expansion further cements TEMS’ position as a benchmark in international education in Madrid—offering students an inspiring environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
