Launch of Cognita AI: global roll-out of cutting-edge AI platform to support teaching & learning
Cognita announces strategic partnership with leading personalised learning platform Flint
Shaping the future of AI-powered education
In a world defined by relentless technological progress, standing still is not an option. Cognita is not only keeping up with change – we are helping to shape the future of learning. That’s why we are proud to unveil Cognita AI – a global, future-facing platform that brings together the best of artificial intelligence and human expertise to transform education at scale.
As part of this vision, we are thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with leading personalised learning platform Flint, an AI tool purpose-built for supporting teachers and empowering students. After a successful pilot, Flint is being rolled out globally – reaching more than 95,000 students across our entire school network.
AI that supports teachers
Nothing can take the place of a skilled, passionate educator who understands their students and brings learning to life. Instead, Cognita AI amplifies the impact of great teaching – giving educators more time to focus on what they do best: supporting, guiding, and inspiring young minds.
With Cognita AI, teachers can:
Create high quality, tailored learning activities
Deliver tailored materials that meet pupils where they are
Provide instant, formative feedback that helps learners grow
Meanwhile, students benefit from additional practice, guided idea generation, and opportunities to build responsible AI literacy – all with age-appropriate safeguards and oversight from their teachers.
Evidence-driven, thoughtfully implemented
In line with our commitment to making evidence-informed decisions that enhance teaching and learning, we took a careful, phased approach to evaluating AI in our classrooms – starting small, studying results, and learning from real teacher and student experiences.
Our pilot programme with Flint involved a group of six Cognita schools across four continents – from the British School of Barcelona in Spain to the Royal Grammar School Guildford in Dubai – to test the tool in different educational contexts and cultural settings.
These schools trialled Flint across subjects such as mathematics, languages, and essay writing. The results were clear: pupils demonstrated deeper engagement and improved learning outcomes, while teachers reported greater capacity to personalise learning and respond to individual needs.
Putting pedagogy first
As Dr Simon Camby, our Group Chief Education Officer, explains, “Our approach is to take a considered view about the most effective and impactful ways to integrate AI into our classrooms in order to ensure that it truly benefits our teachers and students. After a thorough selection process, we chose to work with Flint because of its flexibility and ability to align with how our schools teach and operate, while also delivering the personalised learning experience we want for every student.”
Sohan Choudhury, CEO of Flint, added, “We’ve been amazed by Cognita’s commitment to personalising learning for students, as well as by the focus from Cognita’s leadership on embracing AI in a way that enhances, not replaces, the teacher’s role in the classroom.”
Building confidence and trust in AI – together
Rolling out a new technology across dozens of schools isn’t something we take lightly. That’s why our implementation includes:
- Professional learning for teachers, designed to meet them where they are
- Student AI literacy programmes that prepare learners for the future
- Family engagement resources to ensure transparent implementation aligned with community values
The future starts here
Cognita AI’s early results show what’s possible: teachers describe the platform as a true assistant, helping them deliver more personalised support, more efficiently than ever. But our ambitions go far beyond a single tool.
Cognita AI will continue to grow – with new capabilities, new partnerships, and new pathways for innovation. It reflects our unwavering belief that the best education of tomorrow will be powered by both human insight and intelligent technology.
