Cognita is thrilled to celebrate our A Level results for the 2025/26 Academic Year, with students achieving an impressive 40.5% of grades at A*-A. We’re incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 for their achievements this year.

These A Level results are once again significantly higher than England’s overall A*-A average, which was 28.3% this year. Cognita students also achieved an A*-B average of 68%, compared to 55.5% nationally in England.

Highlights across our schools globally include:

  • El Limonar International School Murcia, Spain: 53% of exams were graded A*–A, with approximately 1 in 3 students achieving all A*–A grades.
  • Repton Al Barsha, Dubai: Celebrated its first A-level cohort, with 48% of exams graded A*–A.
  • Hastings School, Spain: With the largest cohort across Cognita schools, 46% of exams were graded A*–A and 77% A*–B.
  • International School Zurich North, Switzerland: 1 in 3 students achieved all A*to A grades.
  • The British School of Barcelona, Spain: 23% of exams were awarded an A*.

Dr Simon Camby, Chief Schools Officer – East and Chief Education Officer, shared: “These results reflect the hard work and ambition of our students, and the dedication of the teachers who supported them every step of the way. What stands out is not just the strength of the grades, but the resilience and curiosity our students have shown throughout their studies. We’re proud of everything they’ve achieved, and excited to see where these results take them next.”

In July, we were also proud to announce our average IB Diploma Programme score of 35 points in 2026, well above the global average score of 30.88.

Our graduates attend the world’s top universities, including University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, Stanford University, ETH Zurich, University College London, the National University of Singapore*, amongst many others.
