We are proud to announce that Cognita has been recognised again as an ESG Leader by Morningstar Sustainalytics, following the publication of its 2025 list of top-performing companies with the lowest ESG risk ratings globally. Cognita ranked among the Top 10 companies globally in the Consumer Services sector.

This recognition reflects the continued strength of our global sustainability strategy and our commitment to embedding environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles across our schools and operations; from supporting student-led sustainability initiatives and strengthening governance practices, to fostering positive impact through education.

Jamie Delaney, Head of ESG and Group Ethics & Compliance Officer at Cognita, said:

“This badge reflects the collective efforts of colleagues, educators and students across our global community. ESG is not a standalone initiative at Cognita — it is embedded in how we think about education, operations and long-term impact. We remain committed to creating positive, sustainable outcomes for our students, schools and wider communities.”

Across our schools, this commitment is brought to life through initiatives including the Cognita Student Challenge, energy and waste reduction projects across campuses, community partnerships, and wellbeing programmes that support both local and global impact.

Looking ahead, we remain focused on expanding Cognita Impact through partnerships such as The Sparkle Foundation in Malawi and collaborations with public schools in Chile. Our ambition is that for every child we educate at Cognita, we positively impact the life of another — reaching 100,000 children by 2035.

Alongside this, we continue to progress our Net Zero roadmap and embed sustainability across our global school community. Read more about our Sustainability Strategy here.

Awarded as of 2025, the ESG Leader Badge recognises companies based on Sustainalytics’ rules-based methodology. Recognition is based on publicly available data at the time of assessment and may not fully capture all aspects of a company’s sustainability strategy or actions. Companies are compared within defined frameworks; recognition should not be interpreted as an absolute measure of sustainability performance or a guarantee of performance or outcomes.
