Cognita’s commitment to empowering educators and students came to life this month through two regional Digital Learning Summits in Asia and the Middle East. These events brought together school leaders, digital learning specialists, and students to share best practices, explore emerging tools, and strengthen connections across our schools.

This year, the Australian International School, Singapore, hosted Asia’s Digital Learning Summit, welcoming over 50 participants, including school heads, digital learning leaders, IT directors, students, and data compliance professionals. Led by Dr Michael Galligan, EdD, Education Programme Manager, Asia, the two-day event explored emerging digital tools, shared best practices, and included collaborative activities that bridged schools and disciplines. Participants piloted new resources, discussed strategies for engaging students online, and developed plans to implement these ideas in their own schools.

The summit was a reminder that technology alone cannot transform education, people do. By focusing on practical outcomes and fostering collaboration, attendees left equipped to bring meaningful change to learning experiences across our schools in Asia.

Later in the month, Horizon International School, Dubai, hosted the Middle East Digital Learning Summit where participants explored Cognita’s new personalised learning AI platform, Flint. One of the key outcomes were that every digital leader became an accredited user, preparing them to support its rollout across the region.

Andy Perryer, Head of Digital Learning, highlighted the ways the summit supports participants in shaping learning in their schools:

“Bringing our schools together sparks ideas that leaders can take straight back into their classrooms. This term, participants left equipped with tools and strategies that will make an immediate difference for students.”

From Singapore to Dubai, these summits demonstrate how shared expertise and practical innovation drive progress across our schools. By connecting educators and sharing effective practices, we continue to create learning environments where everyone can thrive.
