Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. All of our schools in Europe and North America accept mid-year enrolments. We understand that relocations don’t always align with the academic calendar, and our admissions teams are practiced at managing swift, smooth entries at any point in the year.

Most of our European and US schools use English as the primary language of instruction. If your child is still developing their English language skills, our teams will assess their needs and our schools provide English as an Additional Language (EAL) support to help students settle in and progress.

Our schools offer a range of curricula depending on location: The International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSEs and the English (including GCSEs and A Levels), Spanish, Swiss, and American curriculums. Our International Student Recruitment team can help identify the best curricular fit for your child based on their current schooling and future university aspirations.

The process typically begins with an online consultation with our International Student Recruitment team. We’ll help identify the right school for your child, arrange any required assessments or interviews (conducted remotely where needed), and support you through the application. Once enrolled, the school’s admissions team will manage the transition directly.

Where possible, we welcome prospective families to visit in person. However, we understand this is not always feasible during the relocation process. All assessments and interviews can be completed remotely, and our admissions teams are happy to arrange virtual tours and video calls with school staff.

As part of the Cognita global network, we can support transitions between Cognita schools wherever possible. This includes coordinated admissions support and the transfer of relevant school records. Speak to your school’s admissions team when the time comes.

Yes. We work directly with relocation consultants and registered student placement agents. Your agent is welcome to contact our International Student Recruitment team on your family’s behalf, and you can also note in the enquiry form that you are being represented by an agent.
