Cognita students celebrate outstanding 2025 IB results across the globe
We are proud to announce the exceptional achievements of our students in the 2025 International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), marking yet another year of academic excellence and personal growth across the Cognita global community.
This year, Cognita students in our international schools achieved an average score of 34.2, nearly four points higher than the global average of 30.58, which is a testament to their dedication and the quality of teaching in our schools.
Across our regions, there were many standout performances, including:
- A mean score more than five points above the IB global average at Southbank International School (35.7) and 25%+ of students scoring 40+ Diploma points
- A mean score more than four points above the IB global average at CHIREC International School (India), Repton Dubai (UAE) and Stamford American School Hong Kong (who are celebrating their third cohort of IB Diploma graduates)
- Stellar performance at the British School of Barcelona with an impressive mean score of 34.4 points (nearly four points above the global average) for the first cohort of IB Diploma students at the British School of Barcelona City and a highest possible score of 45 Diploma Points at BSB Castelldefels
- High proportions of students achieve bilingual diplomas supporting their development as future-ready global citizens – Doukas School in Greece (85%), Instituto Educativo Olinca in Mexico (70%), Colegio Santa Francisca Romana in Colombia (61%) and International School Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam (54%)
Reflecting on these achievements, Dr Simon Camby, Cognita’s Chief Education Officer, said:
“We are immensely proud of every one of our students across the globe who received their IB results this week. Your hard work, curiosity, and commitment have truly paid off. At Cognita, we are committed to providing an educational journey that equips students with the skills, mindset, and resilience to thrive in higher education and beyond. This year’s results are a testament to your perseverance and passion for learning.
“A heartfelt thank you also goes to our exceptional teachers and support teams at every Cognita school. Their guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support have been instrumental in helping our students reach this milestone. As our students step into the next chapter of their lives, we know they will continue to lead with purpose, make a positive impact, and inspire those around them. Well done to you all – we celebrate your success today and always!”
