Founded in 1916, Salcombe is an independent preparatory school for girls and boys between 3 and 11 years of age. Located on two neighbouring sites in Southgate, North London; Salcombe is renowned for the highest standards of academic achievement, and the happy, confident and successful students it produces.

In 2015, our Year 6 leavers gained more than 50 offers to some of the UK’s most highly-ranked state selective and independent secondary schools, including a host of academic, sport and music scholarships or place awards.
Sarah graduated as a teacher from the University of Middlesex in 1999 and gained her Masters in Educational Leadership in 2010.
Prior to taking up her Headship at Salcombe in September 2013, she worked for Cognita’s Duncombe School in Hertford in a variety of roles as the Associate Headmistress, Academic Deputy and Head of Lower School. She has also been a visiting tutor for the PGCE students at the University of Buckingham.
