Patricia Escobar
School Director
Patricia Escobar earned her Bachelors in Anthropology from the Universidad de Cauca, she specialized in family counselling at the Universidad Javeriana and earned her Certificate in International School Leadership at the Principal’s Training Center (PTC) in London. She was the school principal for both preschool and elementary school at the New Cambridge School Cali, prior to her appointment as School Director.
She worked for 24 years at the Colegio Colombo Británico de Cali, where she held several leadership positions, such as Head of Elementary, Head of High School, Academic Coordinator and acting School Director. Additionally, she was a teacher in elementary and high school. She ran the Learning Support Center, the International Integration Program for elementary students, and was responsible for the professional development program at the school for several years.
She has worked in Education for more than 30 years and has made valuable contributions to strengthening the International Baccalaureate Programs where she has worked, particularly PYP, MYP and DP. She has been a member of the leadership teams in various accreditation processes, such as PYP and CIS and has participated in evaluation visits for all three IB programs. Currently, she is leading the implementation of the HighScope program in the preschool at New Cambridge School Cali.
