About

Hastings School is an independent British school based in Madrid which offers education to students aged 3-18 years, covering Early Years through to IGCSE and A Levels. The school is based on five campuses.

The Bendición de Campos campus is dedicated to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes within the English National Curriculum. There are three classes each of Year 1 to Year 4 students. The teachers are UK qualified and experienced practitioners, plus we have Spanish qualified and trained staff who offer the obligatory Spanish language and humanities courses to our pupils. There are two full-time teaching assistants who are based between the Year 1 and Year 2 classes, and there are two full-time support teachers who are timetabled to offer programmes of support or extension work to selected small groups of pupils from any of the twelve classes based in this building.

The enrichment programme offered to our primary children is as important as it is varied: one trip per term per class is guaranteed; a creative curriculum week; concerts; assemblies; tournaments for the older pupils; after school extra-curricular activities.

Hastings is authorised by the Spanish Ministry of Education and is a member of the National Association for British Schools in Spain (NABSS).
