About
In our Early Years programme, children experience dedicated German and English teaching days. From Kindergarten onwards, students learn through our unique one-week English, one-week German immersion model, enabling them to develop strong language skills in both languages. Children can join Four Forest from the age of three, and we cater for students through to Grade 9 in Zug and Grade 10 in Lucerne.
In addition to our bilingual programme, we also offer a German-language pathway for Primary School students at both our Zug and Lucerne campuses, as well as for Secondary School students in Lucerne.
Mike Fitzgerald
Principal
Mike grew up in London, and followed his passion for languages by reading French and German at the University of Durham. After working as a sports journalist for Eurosport in both Paris and London, Mike entered the world of education, completing his PGCE at St. Mary's University College in 2007. Mike spent the early part of his teaching career teaching French, German, Spanish and P.E. in the South of England, before moving to the International School of Zug and Luzern in 2011, where he taught German and served as both a Head of Department and Head of Year. He joined Four Forest Zug as Principal in August 2025. As one might expect of a former sports journalist, Mike is something of a sports fanatic, and enjoys spending time with his family in the mountains of Switzerland, skiing, mountain biking and hiking, as well as playing football.
