About

Founded in 1973, Colegio Olinca offers a co-educational, bilingual (Spanish, English to 5th grade) or trilingual (Spanish, English, French in 6-12th grade) education across two sites in Mexico's capital, Mexico City.

Olinca is an international school that values the history and cultural heritage of Mexico and follows both the local Mexican SEP and UNAM curricula, as well as offering the International Baccalaureate. At the heart of its education is a global outlook, outstanding academic achievement and learning which fosters open-mindedness, autonomy and confidence.

The school's methodology is learner-centred in order to develop both interest and autonomy in their students. As part of its ongoing search for excellence, Olinca has been certified by the “Great Place to Study” organisation, an honour granted to schools proven to score high on factors such as; learning experience, life on campus, extracurricular activities, Wellbeing and infrastructure.

General Director

Maria Fernanda, serves as general director and is a proud alumna. She has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to promoting academic excellence and the integral development of students.

The versatility and breadth of her knowledge reflect her ability to approach challenges from diverse perspectives, always remaining at the forefront of pedagogical methods and best practices. With over 25 years of experience in education, she has positively influenced numerous students in her career.

She holds a Master's degree in English Language Teaching from the University of Southampton and completed postgraduate studies in Education with a specialization in new technologies for learning at UNID. She also finished her Law studies at UNAM.

She has a great love for literature that was born in her time at Olinca and a deep sense of belonging to this community in which she has developed personally and professionally. She is a firm believer that it is in the classroom where we can make a difference and that education is the best bet for a good future.
