Community and innovation are at the heart of the Cognita Way and these principles inspire us to keep breaking new ground in education. One way we do this is through partnering with leaders and experts beyond our Cognita family – building on our diverse global platform to create new opportunities.
Partnering with sector leaders to create new schools brings together Cognita’s extensive experience in operating high-quality schools with our partners’ distinctive heritage.
On the pedagogical front, we partner with one of the world’s leading universities to deliver a bespoke team fellowship programme for our educators. The research informs further innovations to the teaching and learning that our schools provide, while the overall experience provides outstanding professional development for our people.
In partnership with Brighton College, Cognita opened a new international school in Singapore in August 2020. Brighton College leads the educational philosophy, school ethos and curricula, while Cognita leads the day-to-day operation of the school.
The Royal Grammar School (RGS) Guildford Dubai opened in September 2021 through a partnership between RGS Guildford, one of the UK’s oldest and most respected schools, and Cognita.
We believe that focused, purposeful research into teaching and learning plays a powerful role in improving the educational experience for our young people. It also enables educators to develop and hone their own expertise so we can all share in an inspiring world of education.
Partnering with the world’s leading centre for educational research, the Institute of Education (IOE) at University College London, we run a team fellowship programme. Each team of teachers receives bespoke input from IOE experts on their research project in the area of metacognition or personalised learning.
