Our Partnerships

Working with the best

While our schools develop their own positive partnerships within their local communities, we are proud to have a range of valuable partnerships at regional and global levels.

From world renowned educational institutions and media outlets through to charitable foundations, each bring their own benefits and opportunities for our colleagues and for others.

University College London (UCL)

Cognita works in partnership with the UCL Centre for Educational Leadership, part of the IOE - Faculty of Education and Society at University College London. The IOE at UCL is ranked #1 in the world since 2014 for Education as a subject (QS world rankings). The IOE has been offering excellence in the study and research related to education, culture, psychology, and social research for 120 years.

We work with UCL to deliver two bespoke professional development programmes and we collaborated together to develop the Project Activate learning resource.

The Sparkle Foundation

Cognita Middle East has recently partnered with The Sparkle Foundation, a charity committed to driving positive change through the delivery of sustainable and replicable best practice community models in Malawi.

The Middle East team have established a voluntary teacher mentor programme where Cognita staff organise and deliver an online training programme for the teachers in Malawi. This programme is supplemented by two biannual trips where our teachers travel to Malawi to continue the CPD programme face to face, which includes team planning and teaching, modelling and observations.

Our team in the Middle East strive to instil a sense of agency within our students in Dubai by integrating the Sparkle Foundation within the curriculum. By doing so, they hope to inspire students to drive positive change and to foster a culture that emphasizes giving and opening minds to a world beyond their own.

Worcester College, Oxford

We are proud to partner with Worcester College (University of Oxford) to offer the Oxford Certificate Programmes for Cognita students aged 15 and above. Held during the holidays, this provides students with an opportunity to experience life and learning in an Oxford college setting.

As well as delivering cutting-edge courses taught by tutors from Oxford and Cambridge, participants attend a variety of cultural talks, visits and activities.

CNN International

In November 2023, we were proud to partner with CNN International on their annual Call to Earth Day.

Launched by CNN in 2019, Call to Earth spotlights individuals, organisations and schools, dedicated to safeguarding our planet for future generations. Our passionate students enthusiastically joined the cause, championing sustainability, and addressing crucial environmental issues within their local communities.

We were involved with two student-led projects in collaboration with CNN. The first project saw CNN content creators working with our schools to guide students in producing impactful environmental video reports. This unique collaboration empowered our students to become effective storytellers of environmental concerns.

Additionally, our younger students created artwork that vividly conveys why they believe our planet is worth protecting. Their creative expressions serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of sustainability.
