About

Glenesk is a leading independent Pre-Preparatory and Nursery school for children aged 2–7 in East Horsley, Surrey.

We are proud of our strong academic foundations, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that spans the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. High expectations are at the heart of everything we do, delivered in an age-appropriate, engaging and fun way that inspires a genuine love of learning from the very start of a child’s educational journey.

Our qualified and experienced staff ensure that learning is carefully personalised to meet, support and stretch every child’s potential. Through small class sizes and a nurturing environment, we are able to understand each child as an individual, celebrating strengths, building confidence and providing targeted support where needed so that every pupil thrives academically and personally.

All core subjects are taught to a high standard, providing children with secure foundations in literacy, numeracy and critical thinking. By the end of Key Stage 1, our oldest Year 2 pupils are thoughtfully prepared for their entrance assessments and the transition to their future schools, They leave Glenesk equipped not only with academic readiness, but also with independence, curiosity and confidence, qualities that enable them to embrace new challenges with resilience and self-belief. Respect is a fundamental value woven throughout every aspect of school life at Glenesk.

Our enriched curriculum is further enhanced by specialist teaching. Dedicated subject specialists deliver high-quality lessons in Music, Design and Technology, Forest School, Dance and Drama, Ballet, Sport and Swimming in our indoor heated pool. These experiences broaden horizons, nurture creativity, develop physical confidence and encourage teamwork, ensuring that education extends well beyond the classroom.

At Glenesk, we combine academic ambition with warmth and joy, creating a happy, purposeful environment where children are challenged, supported and inspired every day.
