About

The Colegio Europeo de Madrid (CEM) has been providing high-quality education for the past 35 years, beginning with the European Nursery School Bebín, now known as CEM Infants. At CEM, each student is treated as an individual, allowing their unique talents to be nurtured and empowered. One of the school’s primary goals is for every student who graduates to understand their strengths and what they excel at. To support this, a wide range of activities and opportunities are offered, enabling pupils to engage in different ways that suit their interests and abilities.

CEM has developed an educational program that helps students reach their full potential, not only academically but also as individuals and active members of a constantly evolving community. Recognizing that society is increasingly global, CEM has implemented a multilingual project with official certifications, offering English, French, German, and Chinese, as well as Spanish for foreign students, ensuring students achieve high proficiency across multiple languages. Additional activities that help develop students holistically include Chess, Music, Judo, Fencing, Dance, Robotics, and Drama.

For the past two years, CEM has offered the Primary Years Programme (PYP) with the Pre-PYP for children aged 3 to 11, making it the only school in Las Rozas to provide this program, as well as the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11 to 16. Additionally, starting in September 2027, CEM will offer both the National Baccalaureate and the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), completing the full IB continuum and providing students with a comprehensive international education from ages 3 to 18.

The school is supported by a highly motivated and qualified teaching team, and its facilities include modern laboratories, the European Valley (with a dedicated version for CEM Infants), libraries, sports and arts spaces, a music room, and a radio workshop.
