Charterhouse Square is a non-selective, co-educational independent school based in the City of London for students aged 3-11 years. The school has excellent transport links, with the Elizabeth line, Farringdon mainline and Barbican tube all within a 5-minute walk.
With a friendly and unpretentious approach, Charterhouse Square School offers education from Nursery and Early Years through to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Students achieve exceptional academic results at 7+ and 11+ from a broad and balanced curriculum, with a strong emphasis on numeracy and literacy but with ample time also dedicated to physical education and the arts.

Following our recent expansion, which resulted in a significant transformation, we introduced brand-new classrooms, indoor play areas, a dining area serving delicious hot lunches, innovative learning spaces for science and crafts, and music rooms designed to inspire our young talents.
This space is further extended by our fabulous new rooftop learning deck, with the iconic Barbican towers providing a picturesque backdrop. The rooftop serves as a stunning and versatile space for our pupils, greatly enhancing their outdoor and teaching spaces, and allowing for outdoor learning and drama productions, including our very own gardening club.

Caroline qualified with a BEd (Hons) with QTS in 1994 from Exeter University and taught all year groups from Nursery to Year 6 at Charterhouse Square for 15 years.
After leaving to start a family, Caroline returned six months later on a part-time basis as she missed teaching so much. When it was acquired by Cognita 10 years later, Caroline was delighted to be able to return as Headmistress to the school she describes and runs as one happy family.
