Simon Camby named Group Director of Education for Cognita
We are delighted to announce that Simon Camby has been appointed as Group Director of Education for Cognita. In this newly created role, Simon will be responsible for reinforcing our commitment to sharing educational best practice across the group in order to keep improving the educational experience we offer in all of our schools.
A graduate of the University of Cambridge, Simon’s career in educational leadership spans over 20 years. He has worked in individual schools and groups of schools, in the UK and internationally. Prior to joining Cognita in 2015, Simon was a lead Ofsted inspector and Chief Executive of the Focus Trust, providing advice and educational support to schools and academies.
In his new role as Cognita’s Group Director of Education, Simon will work closely with the regional educational leads in Latin America and in Asia, as well as maintaining his current role as Cognita’s Director of Education for Europe. He said: “We have such a wide range of experience and pedagogical practice across our schools – it’s a key benefit of being a global group. I look forward to working more closely with colleagues across the globe as we build on our collective strengths in order to take forward the education we offer.”
