Long Close School announces ‘LCS Evolves’ development project

Subject to planning permission, Long Close School in Slough, UK will begin an exciting new development this July, which will include a specialist Sports facility, STEAM focused specialist learning environment in The Hub building and significant landscaping to their 3 acre site.

The £6m project, “LCS Evolves”, is designed to establish a learning village feel to the school site. This will provide additional learning environments to support Science, Technology, Innovation and the Performing Arts. The facilities work will take place in phases over the next 18 months. These are changing and exciting times in the field of education and will improve the educational experience Long Close School can offer the children in their care.

The artist’s impressions of the new facilities together with a wider overview of the vision for Long Close School supports their aims of delivering the very best achievers by maintaining the very best of independent school ideals – balancing the pastoral and academic needs of pupils in order to provide a truly holistic education.

Melissa McBride, Head of Long Close School, said: “We are immensely proud, and extremely excited, to be leading this next phase of Long Close School’s history, which will provide an inspiring educational experience for our pupils through Year 11.”
