Hydesville Tower School celebrate a surge in GCSE A* and A grades
Almost a third of Hydesville Tower School pupils achieved top grades in their GCSEs this year, leading to a record number of A* and A awards.
In addition, no less than 100 per cent of candidates secured five or more A*-C grades in the summer’s examinations.
The fantastic results were cause for celebration as anxious and excited pupils and their parents arrived at school from 8am to collect their marks.
Miss Kam Nijjar, Deputy Headteacher and Head of Senior School, said: “I am delighted for the pupils who have worked tremendously hard during the course of their GCSE studies. They have earned these grades and this day is for them and their families, whose support has been invaluable, to enjoy.
“Congratulations also to the subject teachers. They certainly ask a lot of their students but match that contribution to ensure each and every child fulfils their potential,” added history teacher Miss Nijjar.
It is the second consecutive year that Hydesville Tower School, which offers an independent education to children aged three to 16, has achieved a clean sweep of 100 per cent five A*-C grades.
