Huddersfield Grammar School Celebrate their SIS Inspection Report
Staff and pupils at Huddersfield Grammar School are celebrating after receiving an excellent inspection report. The school was judged to provide a high quality of education for pupils of all ages with an outstanding provision for pupils in the Kindergarten and Reception classes. It was emphasised that the curriculum has a number of outstanding features and a significant proportion of the teaching was found to be of outstanding quality. The inspectors noted that excellent behaviour is founded on the school’s expectations of the pupils, and relationships at all levels, including those between teachers and pupils, are of high quality. GCSE results were thought to demonstrate that a high number of pupils exceed their predicted academic expectations and the range of extra-curricular activities judged as extensive. Headmaster Mr Tim Hoyle said “I am delighted that the inspectors recognised the excellent work that is taking place at Huddersfield Grammar School. The combined efforts of pupils, parents and staff continue to ensure that the school is an exciting and inspiring place to learn and study. With many new developments for September 2014, we remain committed to providing a high quality of education for all ages.” For the full report and news of the developments please see the SIS Inspectors Report on our homepage.
