Environmentally aware students from Hastings School in Spain took part in last month’s United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP25, hosted in Madrid. The conference brought together eco-activists, governments and business leaders from around the world to discuss joint solutions to climate change.

Hastings students contributed to this notable event in a number of ways. They shared their views as part of the Young and Civil Society Forum, interviewed attendees including the Vice President of the European Commission, contributed to an interactive art installation which highlighted the impact of plastic pollution, performed an innovative adaptation of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens to raise awareness of the climate crisis, and took to the streets in Plaza Castilla as part of the movement #FridaysforFuture.

This was an incredible opportunity for Hastings students, all eager to help protect our planet.
