Cognita’s British curriculum schools comprehensively surpass new national performance statistics

Cognita A Level results at North Bridge House Canonbury

This week, the British Department for Education has released performance statistics for the 2017 GCSE and A levels, including the results of the new, more rigorous GCSEs in English and maths. We are proud to announce that all of Cognita’s British curriculum schools have substantially surpassed the national average in the attainment of Level 5+ results – considered a “strong pass” in the new grading system – in both English and maths.

“With a national average of 39.6 per cent and Cognita schools’ results reaching as high as 89 per cent, this exceptional achievement is testament to the dedication of both our staff and students, and the high-quality of teaching in our schools,” says Danuta Tomasz, Cognita’s Assistant Director of Education, Europe.

Cognita schools have also achieved well above the national average at the Attainment 8 level, the average score obtained by a student for their best 8 GCSE results.
