Cognita welcomes the American British School in Chile
The American British School is the latest school to join Cognita’s worldwide family of schools.
The American British School, located in Santiago, Chile, is an independent school founded in 1987 by Miss Raquel Arellano and Don Juan Carlos Pizarro. The American British School offers the Chilean curriculum, with an emphasis on English language, to students aged 3 to 18. The school has some 2,600 students and 270 staff.
Over the last 30 years, the American British School has strived to become recognised as one of the best schools in the Metropolitan Region, creating a learning environment that prepares students to face the challenges of a dynamic, competitive and globalised world. The school prioritises teaching of the English language, as well as instilling ethics, critical reflection and a creative spirit in all of its students.
Josep Caubet, Chief Executive of Cognita Latin America, said: “We are delighted to welcome the American British School in Santiago into the Cognita family. Each of our schools has its own identity and culture. We take pride and celebrate the diversity of our many different schools around the world and look forward to working with colleagues, students and parents at ABS.”
The American British School becomes Cognita’s 68th school and our eleventh in Chile.
