Cognita leads the way with Early Years education in Singapore
Cognita is proud to open a groundbreaking new campus in Singapore designed specifically for our youngest learners, the result of a collaborative project by two of our schools in Singapore: the Australian International School (AIS) and Stamford American International School (SAIS).
The bespoke design for children aged 18 months to 6 years, as well as its scale, make the Early Learning Village a world-first for Early Years education. The only facility of its kind in Singapore and beyond, it offers families a choice of two educational pathways: the Australian or American curriculum.
This unparalleled project reflects Cognita’s modern and innovative approach to learning and represents a world-first in early childhood education.
In addition to the distinct and world-class academic curricula offered by the two schools, the Early Learning Village will allow children to choose complementary activities ranging from ballet to sport, language-learning and other co-curricular activities. The Village houses multifunctional spaces, thoughtfully designed for young children, including an early-years swimming pool and a fully equipped air-conditioned gymnasium.
“In this age where education is striving to keep up and adapt with all the changes in the world, the way children learn can be just as important as what they learn,” says Michael Drake, CEO of Cognita Asia. “This is the inspiration behind the Early Learning Village. We have been inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which revolves around the students and their experiential learning through exploration and discovery.
