Cognita launches Educational Advisory Board

Cognita has launched an Educational Advisory Board (EAB) to contribute to the development of our global educational vision and programmes for the some 35,000 children in our care.Sir Kevin Collins, Chair of the Cognita Educational Advisory Board

Chairing the Cognita EAB will be the leading educationalist Sir Kevan Collins (pictured). Having worked in public service for over 30 years, Sir Kevan is chief executive of the Education Endowment Foundation and a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Education UCL. He was knighted in 2015 for services to education and, as Chair of our EAB, will serve in an advisory capacity for Cognita to support our drive for innovation in our schools.

Commenting on Sir Kevan’s appointment and the establishment of the EAB, Cognita Chief Executive Chris Jansen said: “The purpose of the EAB is to ensure that we are delivering outstanding education and continuing to share our very best ideas across the Cognita network. Sir Kevan’s focus on the critical importance of evidence-informed educational practice will be a tremendous asset to the work of the EAB as we embed our vision for A Cognita Education and the Cognita Way.”

Under Sir Kevan’s direction, the EAB will include representation from each Cognita region through Simon Camby, Director of Education (Europe); Eric Sands, Superintendent of Stamford American International School / Adrian Watts, Head of International School Ho Chi Minh City (Asia); and Luiza Sassi, Director of Education, Brazil / Marcos Barros Vallejos, Director of Education, Chile (LatAm).
