Cognita celebrates excellence with its 2018 O-wards

At our Global Education Leadership Conference 2018, we celebrated the schools and their leaders who have demonstrated exemplary performance, leadership and educational excellence in the last 12 months.
The winners of the 2018 Cognita O-wards are:
Great Place to Work 2018
Small school winner: Charterhouse Square School, UK
Large school winner: Colegio Pumahue Curauma, Chile
Investing in our people to be a Great Place to Work is a priority for Cognita. The Great Place to Work O-ward recognises excellence in the culture and inspiration a school leadership team creates for their people. The key measure for this O-ward is Voice of the Employee score, which looks at core areas of the employee experience, including learning and development, and communication.
Most Supported by Parents 2018
Large school winner: Instituto GayLussac, Brazil
Small school winner: Downsend Pre-Prep School, Ashtead, UK
Most improved winner: British School of Barcelona Sitges, Spain
This O-ward category recognises excellence in being distinctive so that families choose to stay at our schools. It also ties in particularly to the emphasis on community within the Cognita Way.
Living and Breathing the Cognita Way 2018
Winner: Cognita Brazil
Winner: St. Andrews International School Dusit, Thailand
The Cognita Way comprises six focal points we know to be present in the most successful schools: energised leadership, personalised learning, people growth, community, innovation and brilliant basics. The two winners in this O-ward category were selected for fully embracing the Cognita Way in all aspects of their schools.
The Cognita Education O-ward 2018
Winner: Australian International School, Singapore
Nominated by the Cognita Education Advisory Board, this O-ward seeks to recognise a school that especially enables its students to achieve high academic standards while also delivering a holistic education. A particular stand-out feature for this winner has been the opening of their Early Years facility in the Early Learning Village.
CEO O-ward 2018
Winner: Southbank International School, UK
Winner: Stamford American School, Hong Kong
The measures for this O-ward are ‘excellence’ and going ‘above and beyond’. The two winners were chosen because they are true models of what it means to collaborate and share with the Cognita family of schools.
Congratulations to all of the 2018 O-ward winners on these well-deserved accolades.
