CHIREC International, the school that pioneered holistic education in Hyderabad, India, has entered into a partnership in which CHIREC will join Cognita’s family of 76 schools around the world.

Educating children aged 2.5 years to 18 years, CHIREC has 3,700 students and a staff body of 1,000 across its three state-of-the-art campuses. Mrs. Ratna Reddy, Founder Director of CHIREC, said: “We have educated thousands of young people over our 30-year history and I am proud that CHIREC is joining Cognita’s leading family of schools. Through this partnership, our students and teachers will be able to share expertise, insights and best practices to develop collaborative and rich learning environments in every school.”

Mrs. Reddy will remain at CHIREC in her role as Advisor and her daughter, Ms. Aneesha Reddy, will continue as Head of Strategic Initiatives for the school. Joining as CEO for CHIREC is Dr. Peter McLaughlin, who will be working with Mrs. Reddy and her team to ensure a successful collaboration with the Cognita family. Dr. Peter has extensive experience as an educator and school leader in the United Kingdom and India, including as Headmaster of The Doon School from 2009-2016.
