Depending on the role and/or country, the selection process for teaching positions includes

  • Application Form and covering letter
  • School tour
  • Delivering a lesson
  • Competency-based interview

For school leader positions, the selection process could also include the following:

  • Assessment Centre
    • Lesson observation and feedback
    • Verbal and numerical testing
    • Psychometric profile
    • Pupil panel
    • Staff panel
  • Presentation


For other school-based non-teaching and/or corporate positions, the process may include:

  • Application Form and covering letter
  • Competency based interview
  • Verbal and numerical testing
  • Psychometric profile
  • Presentation
  • School tour (school positions only)

Individual feedback will be provided to anyone that has been unsuccessful after interview stage. This should be requested from the recruiting manager in the first instance.

By applying for a position with Cognita and/or its group of schools you consent to the Group/School and any appointed third party partners (this may include recruitment agencies, background check and personality profiling tools/platforms providers) processing personal data about you, including sensitive personal data, for legal, personnel, administrative and management purposes. Therefore your information may be transferred from your home country to other countries around the world, including countries which may not provide the same level of protection of your information as provided in your home country. We will nevertheless ensure that information transferred to Cognita Group databases in such countries are kept in accordance with data protection legislation in the recruiting country and any other related guidance in force.
